VietNamNet Bridge – To dress traffic situation in Hanoi, the Hanoi Police Agency has set up 15 special working groups who wear civilian clothes to seize traffic law violators.

The members of these groups include police officers from the special taskforce, criminal scout, traffic police and mobile police forces.

These groups will not only seize traffic rule violators, but also hunt law violators who run away or oppose police officers.

This campaign was launched on August 4 in four districts: Hoan Kiem, Tay Ho, Ba Dinh, Hai Ba Trung. It will be expanded to the remaining districts in Hanoi.

According to VietNamNet’s reporters, on August 7, many traffic rule violators who neglected traffic police officers’ orders and ran away on Ba Trieu, Dai Co Viet, Dao Duy Anh and Giai Phong, were seized by police officer putting on civilian clothes and mobile police officers.

Pham Quang Minh, from the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, told VietNamNet that thanks to the cooperation of the special force, traffic police can deal with traffic law violators more easily.

Minh also said that some traffic law violators were also seized with drugs and weapons in their vehicles.

VietNamNet’s reporters followed police officers in the morning of August 7:

Vehicles of violators are kept at the headquarters of Hanoi Police Department for Investigation of Social Order-related Crime, 7 Thien Quang Street.

Most of violators are young people.

The two men did not wear helmet and did not take motorbike ownership
