Village lives by recycling used tires

VietNamNet Bridge – Used automobile tires are recycled by Hoa Binh villagers in Tu Nghia district, the central province of Quang Ngai, to become useful products.




Used tires are piled at any space in Hoa Binh village.


Thousands of people classify tires and process them into useful products.


Mr. Huynh Nga, 51, has been doing this job for more than 20 years. He process
used tires into rubber pieces to cover tires of buses and trucks.


Kids play around piles of used tires.


Mr. Pham Huu Duc has worked for 25 years with used tires. Through
his skillful hands, waste tires become feeding troughs, rubber bands,
etc. to serve the northern and central market.


Kids and elderly people in Hoa Binh village do this job. They earn at least VND100,000 ($5) per day.
